In this class we will move beyond the standard four-point combinations and begin to explore the use of deconstructed point combinations in the Saam tradition. We will identify clinical situations for modifying point combinations to match patient presentations more exactly. We will then explore the strategies the Saam tradition employs for points along the Ren and Du Mai trajectories.
Throughout the class students will be asked to critically evaluate case studies presented by the instructor that highlight these new concepts. In addition, fundamental Saam tradition principles will be more clearly demonstrated through student presented case studies.
The overall goal for this class is to implement these deeper aspects of the Saam tradition more efficiently into your clinical practice.
*Introduction to Saam Acupuncture and Bilateral Combinations and Draining Strategies are required before enrolling in this class.
