Reciting the Shang Han Lun

12 WEEKLY CLASSES

This is a twelve week class on how to recite the Shang Han Lun in Chinese. We will spend one hour reciting the text as a group, and 30 minutes discussing basic character recognition, pronunciation, and grammar, with a focus on some of the common symptom patterns described in the text. No previous experience in speaking or studying Chinese is necessary. The class will be divided into two groups of five students each, with one group meeting on Mondays at 1pm EST, and a second group meeting Fridays at 1pm EST.

Gui Zhi Tang and Its Modifications

Gui zhi is one of the most important herbs in the Shang Han Za Bing Lun. And Gui zhi tang is modified in so many ways for a huge variety of presentations. In this class, we will discuss the herb and formula in detail and most of its modifications and uses throughout the Shang Han Lun and Jin Gui Yao Lue.
